Pan Sharpening

Connect your imagery to connect with your world. The fusion of low-resolution multispectral (color) and high-resolution panchromatic (black and white) imagery to produce high-resolution multispectral imagery is commonly referred to as pan sharpening. Such fusion is important to any remote-sensing application and requires both detailed spatial and spectral information.

The PCI Geomatics Pan Sharpening package is designed through a comprehensive analysis of existing fusion techniques and results. Designed for the new generation of high-resolution satellites, our pan sharpening package provides an easy-to-use algorithm that preserves both spatial and spectral integrity.

Geomatica® Pan Sharpening Package Features:

  • Designed for the new generation of high-resolution satellites, but supports all sensors
  • Merges data from different sensors
  • Supports 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit real data
  • Easy, one-step process

Additional Information

"I would have thought it hard to beat our proprietary pan sharp-ening algorithm. We are very close, but careful inspection shows that Dr. Zhang's is slightly better. This is great."
