PCI Geomatics expands geospatial processing capabilities with the release of ProSDK and ProPacks 1.1Richmond Hill, Ontario – February 5, 2007: PCI Geomatics is pleased to announce the release of a new version of the ProPacks collection and the PCI Professional Software Development Kit (ProSDK), used for building highly automated and customized workflow solutions. Released under the company’s solution brand Geomatica X, a ProPack is a set of software components that address a particular application area, such as orthorectification or mosaicking, and extends the capabilities of the ProSDK. These components are called PCI Pluggable Functions (PPFs) and they represent PCI Geomatics’ core technology. Customized geospatial procedures can be programmed with the ProSDK and ProPacks, using the Python, C++ or Java programming languages. The new ProPacks support digital photogrammetry (satellite and airphoto), pansharpening, and geospatial database applications. “ProSDK and ProPacks 1.1 will benefit organizations by maximizing productivity gains through the implementation of automated procedures, as well as saving countless hours of software development time,” said Dr. Richard Pollock, Director of Research and Development at PCI Geomatics. Both Windows and Linux editions of the ProSDK and ProPacks are available, with detailed documentation included to support customers’ software development efforts.
