PCI Geomatics enhances Geomatica with Update

Richmond Hill, Ontario – July 4, 2006: PCI Geomatics®, a world-leading developer of image-centric software and solutions for the geospatial industry, is pleased to announce the release of Geomatica version 10.0.2, an update with significant enhancements to the Geomatica 10 suite. In addition to new features, this update includes improvements in the software’s reliability, performance, and functionality.

Geomatica version 10.0.2 includes certified support for imagery from the CARTOSAT-1 satellite, including orthocorrection, DEM extraction and mosaicking. In another image correction improvement, the AUTOGCP tool can now align two images automatically. In response to user demand, Geomatica 10.0.2 now allows the viewing and reprojection of data to and from the New Zealand Map Grid Projection.

The update also provides application interfaces in French and Spanish, as well as support for Windows 64-bit XP.
