Hi Mike, 1.
How can I add X and Y coordinates to the point vector segment attribute table? As far as I know, there is no existing algorithm to do this in
Geomatica. It could be done via a work-around though. Our
support department (support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
could help you with the work-around if need be. 2.
Could you direct me to the EASI commands for a script I am writing? I'm not sure if you mean you want to know the EASI command to
add the X&Y coordinates or an EASI command to add the distance
attribute. Either way, the answer is the same - there is no single EASI
task to do it. Matt From: Michael Lynch

attribute table? 2. Could you direct me to the EASI commands for a script I am
writing? Thanks, Mike _____________________________________________________ Michael Lynch Remote Sensing/GIS Analyst Radar & Vision Systems C-CORE Phone: 709.737.3727 | Fax: 709.737.4706 | This communication (including attachments) is intended solely for

[mailto:mccalla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Hi Mike, You can do this using the Statistical Overlay in Focus.
The point layer would be the primary input layer and the polyline would be the
secondary. In step 2 of the Overlay Wizard in the Additional Attributes
section you can check on "Distance". This will add an attribute
called OverlayDistance to your point layer with the minimal distance to the
closest secondary shape. Matt --------------------------------- Matt McCalla Senior Applications Specialist PCI Geomatics 819-770-0022 x 252 [phone] 819-770-0098 [fax] Email: mccalla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Website: www.pcigeomatics.com PCI Geomatics – world leading developer of

[mailto:michael.lynch@xxxxxxxxx] Hi
folks, I
have point and polyline layers and I would like to determine the shortest
distance from each point to the polyline and add that value to the point
attribute table. Any
suggestions? Mike _____________________________________________________ Michael Lynch Remote Sensing/GIS Analyst Radar & Vision Systems C-CORE Phone: 709.737.3727 | Fax: 709.737.4706 | This communication (including attachments) is intended solely for
