Thanks Matt! I wonder if you could answer another
couple of questions for me. 1. How can I add X and Y coordinates to
the point vector segment attribute table? 2. Could you direct me to the EASI commands
for a script I am writing? Thanks, Mike _____________________________________________________ Michael Lynch Remote Sensing/GIS Analyst Radar & Vision Systems C-CORE Phone: 709.737.3727 | Fax:

[mailto:mccalla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Hi Mike, You can do this
using the Statistical Overlay in Focus. The point layer would be the
primary input layer and the polyline would be the secondary. In step 2 of
the Overlay Wizard in the Additional Attributes section you can check on
"Distance". This will add an attribute called OverlayDistance
to your point layer with the minimal distance to the closest secondary shape. Matt --------------------------------- Matt McCalla Senior Applications

[mailto:michael.lynch@xxxxxxxxx] Hi folks, I have point and polyline layers and I would like to
determine the shortest distance from each point to the polyline and add that
value to the point attribute table. Any suggestions? Mike _____________________________________________________ Michael Lynch Remote Sensing/GIS Analyst Radar & Vision Systems C-CORE Phone: 709.737.3727 | Fax:
