You can use GRDPOL in easi and write to a 32bit channel.

Subject: Poly2ras question

I am trying to rasterize some vector files. I am using POLY2RAS. The output type is set to raster and the selected field name has an attribute of double. The vector attribute is between 0-10 with one decimal place. The resulting raster file is 8bits. So, I have lost some of the precision of the vector attribute. I cannot find an option that will allow the results to be floating point so that can maintain the original precision.

I know that I could edit the vector attribute and set a custom conversion and simply multiply the attribute by ten. However I have 1200 files and 6 attributes that I would have to do this to and there does not appear to be a batch process that would allow me to modify the vector attributes and add the conversions.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
