Re: PC Graphics card recommendations/suggestions?

Hej,

I don't know of any other recommendations than listed in the end of the following document and in the beginning of Geomatica Installation etc. Manuals (see Requirements):

http://www.pcigeomatics.com/products/pdfs/3D_Stereo.pdf

However, my personal experience with an older, but quite expensive Oxygen card model in Windows 98 was quite bad, because 3DLabs in the end totally omitted users with those cards, when Windows XP was released. I.e., they did not provide a driver for XP, which ofcourse many users did complain of. Therefore, I'm not anymore buying any products from 3DLabs.

If you don't need the 3D Stereo module, then in my opinion any good 2D graphics card should do well. (I.e., you don't absolutely need to get the best 3D game card.)

But, check the selection table on this page:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_family.html

Cheers,
Teemu Tares.

Dear all

Is there any recommendations/experiences on general PCI/Geomatica
software performance of different graphic cards on PC's. Will certain
cards improve performance significantly?
