Use the CLIP command in EASI v10. and up. 

If you have an older version of EASI, you can write your own routine using
combinations of easi commands such as FEXPORT, CIMPRO, IIA, GRDPOL, THR,
REGPRO, and MAP or MODEL. For example, you could FEXPORT your clipping
vector to a new pix file, create a clip file with CIMPRO to the extents of
your clip vector, IIA the vector into this file,  use GRDPOL to burn the
clipping vector to a channel, THR to create a bitmap outside the burnt area,
REGPRO to resample you input into the clip file and MAP or MODEL to clear
outside data to your desired value.

This will subset your image based on the clipping vector and change DN
values outside the clip polygon to a user defined one.

As the proverbial saying goes, there are many ways to skin a cat.

but I'm able to clip an image using pci commands (by focus or imageworks), I
need to do it by command-line.

You open both the layers first and select (highlight) raster to be clipped.
you select the clip layer (which is a file of a vector in .pix format).
Give a name to the output and ok it. Its done
