In 1992, our founder, Dr. Fang-Kuo Sun, was invited back from the States by the Steering Committee for the Information Development, Executive Yuan (the highest administrative organization in Taiwan) to chair the technical subcommittee on the development of a 10 year national GIS initiative plan. Fabrizio Filiberti is the Managing Director of Sysdeco Italia, based in Rome. Founded in 1994 by Mr. Filiberti, his partner and Sysdeco AS Norway, the company began distributing and providing support for GIS products. TerraNor

Nils Erik Jorgensen founded TerraNor in 1989 by selling GIS in Northern Europe, and soon thereafter became a trusted PCI Geomatics reseller in the early 1990s. With Jorgensen’s background in forestry and software science studies, it’s easy to see why TerraNor’s customer base is primarily in the forest and natural resources market. “PCI Geomatics has opened many doors for us. Even if the North European market is relatively small, there is a good niche for PCI Geomatics products.” In addition to selling software, TerraNor offers services in forest mapping, based on Geomatica. This highly sophisticated software is developed by the Canadian Forest Service, and is brought to the market by Camint, another Canadian company. Development is currently in the works to transform this technology into a fully COTS software product within the year. InfoSat

Omar Garcia, founder and president of InfoSat, has been a proud PCI reseller since the early 1990s. Founding InfoSAT in 1990 after studying Oceanography and developing his own software, Mr. Garcia was eager to make his company grow and spread his outreach. “Becoming a PCI reseller gave me the opportunity for growth, while allowing me to still be independent.” With 15 employees in Argentina, Infosat carries out various services to the clients. The most important services are: Digital Models of Elevation (DEM), with optical sensors with great precision in height.
