Regional Sales Executive – United States
Functional Area: Marketing & Sales
Job Location: PCI’s Gatineau or Toronto Offices
Job Family: Sales
Purpose of Job: : To sell PCI’s Desktop Geospatial software solutions within the United States sales territory. This includes managing client relationships for key accounts and functioning as a single point of contact for our clients and prospects within this territory. This position involves sales targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve and/or surpass product sales targets for assigned region
- Assumes accountability for achieving defined revenue targets
- Adhere to procedures and processes for reporting on and tracking sales
- Effectively manage a sales budget for the territory
- Preparation of annual territory sales plan
- Designs and implements strategies for business development; has overall responsibility for the development of new business for the assigned territory and client base
- Consults with clients to analyze and understand the client’s business needs and determine which products, solutions and services best-fit requirements
- Develops business proposals for presentation to clients, assembles expertise from other departments to ensure that all technical areas are covered; leads team making presentation to clients
- Has overall responsibility for the maintenance and development of business from existing clients and prospects
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure projects or products are delivered on time and to client quality and value expectations; responds to client concerns and ensure seamless and effective provision of customer service
- Attend shows, conferences, host webinar and workshops as well as other events as may be required to generate leads in support of sales objectives
- Ensures awareness of and compliance to all applicable employment, environmental and health and safety legislation

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Geomatics, Marketing/Sales or equivalent
- 6-8 years (minimum) experience in a sales and business development environment
- Thorough knowledge of the company’s products, pricing and sales strategies
- Awareness of target markets and product offerings of competitors
|
Specialized Skills:
- Able to effectively sell commercial off-the self software
- Effective leadership, communication and presentation skills
- Solid skills in managing effective customer relations
- Knowledge of Geospatial software and sales tools will be considered a plus
- Ability to cope with pressures associated with meeting or exceeding sales objectives and travel schedules
- Ability to work in a team environment
