Senior Account Manager – Canada

Location: PCI’s Gatineau Office

PURPOSE OF JOB: To sell PCI Geomatics’ image-centric solutions into the Canadian geospatial marketplace. In addition to direct sales, this position will involve the management of client relationships for key accounts, functioning as a single point of contact for the client. It will also involve the design of strategies to secure new business and to manage these strategies and activities with the support of PCI’s technical team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve and or surpass assigned sales targets
  • Manages client relationships; with overall responsibility for the maintenance and development of business from existing clients
  • Responsible for finding new opportunities, driving sales and closing new business
  • Visit clients and prospects, as well as keep in touch via regular communication by telephone and email
  • Design and implement strategies for business development; has overall responsibility for the development of new business for an assigned business sector or client base. Assumes accountability for achieving defined revenue targets
  • Working with the Technical Team develops business proposals for presentation to clients, assembles expertise from other department to ensure that all technical areas are covered; leads team making presentation to clients
  • Consults with clients to analyze and understand the client’s business needs and determine which products and services best-fit requirements
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure projects and solutions are delivered on time and to client quality and value expectations
  • Identifies issues and develops rationale to respond to client concerns and ensure seamless and effective provision of customer service
  • Attend shows, conferences and other events as may be required to generate leads in support of sales objectives
  • Prepare annual sales plan for territory and quarterly sales forecast

Education & Experience

  • University degree required, business or technical degree preferred
  • 6-8 years (minimum) experience with solutions sales, with a track record of consistent performance against plan
  • Sound knowledge of the Geomatics industry including the image-centric niche

  • Bilingual (English/French) a definite asset
