STGBIG -- Radar Image Registration (Big)

Registers either slant or ground range radar imagery to a georeferenced database in UTM coordinates, using the aircraft's flight path parameters and digital elevation data for the target area.

FLIGHT must be run prior to STGBIG, to calculate accurate flight path parameters.

This is a special version of STG which uses more memory than STG, and converts larger imagery. In some cases STGBIG will execute more quickly than STG.

STGBIG and STG have identical functionality and both yield identical final results. However, STGBIG may run faster than STG, particularly when registering large image database files, since its larger internal buffers allow a reduction in the amount of disk activity.

Progress of this program can be monitored. See MONITOR section.
