RTV -- Raster to Vector Conversion
Takes as its input a raster image held in a channel on a PCIDSK file
(preferably one which has been classified and/or well filtered). RTV
then outputs vector data describing the boundaries and/or interior
points of the areas (polygons) in the image. The generated vector
data is stored in a created vector segment in the file.
One application of RTV is to convert raster data to vector data for
export to a vector Geographic Information System (GIS).
Note: Do NOT use RTV to create contour vectors from an elevation
(DEM) image. Use the CONTOUR program instead.
Progress of this program can be monitored. See MONITOR section.
