QIC2PCI -- Copy Data From INPE QIC Tape to PCIDSK file

Copies the contents of Quarter Inch Cartridge (QIC) streamer INPE LGSOWG format tapes to a PCIDSK file on disk. The created file contains the entire contents of the INPE TM image. If the tape is at level 4 processing, then skew correction to remove earth rotation effects can be applied.

If your data is on 9 track, 8mm or 4mm DAT tape then use the programs MIL, MVL or MSH directly. QIC2PCI is only required if your data is on QIC streamer tape.

If you have an INPE Fast Format QIC tape then use MIIFF rather than QIC2PCI.

WARNING: QIC2PCI may not work on some systems. It has only been tested on IBM Risc System 6000, Windows 3.1, Windows NT, and SUNOS 4.1.3. Other systems may work but are not supported by PCI.
