MAPPSC -- Map Image Data in Pseudocolour

MAPPSC: uses a single input image channel held in a PCIDSK file, along with pseudocolour data, to create/overlay colour maps. Each input image grey level value can be assigned a specific output colour and overlaying pattern. Legends can also be created.

Output from MAPPSC is a map stored in bitmap segments in a separate PCIDSK file. A hardcopy (printed) form of the map is obtained by running a second program which directs its output to one of the supported colour printers, such as the Tektronix ColorQuick

Please also reference the `Using PCI Software' manual for background and application information on generating and printing maps.

Progress of this program can be monitored. See MONITOR section.

Note: unlike other mapping programs, MAPPSC cannot create black and white maps.
