GPS Support
After the GPS unit has been setup using the ``GPS Setup'' panel and
a new vector layer has been created, the
unit may be used as input device for the vector editor. There are
three different modes available:
- New Line: Creates a single line by connecting all points received from the
GPS unit.
- New Point: Creates a single point received from the GPS unit.
- New Stream: Creates a single point for every point received from the GPS
unit.
These modes are selected via the mouse in the ``Vector Editing'' panel.
The mouse may still be used in editing vectors while a GPS unit is connected.
Please note that the vector layer created should have the approximate bounds
of the area within which the GPS collected data.
