Class Labelling

Class Labelling is used to interactively view or modify the class information associated with a particular channel. This panel is invoked from the Classify menu.

This panel will display only one channel in PCT mode when it is invoked. By default, it chooses the channel currently using the red gun. To display other channels, load the new channel into the image plane currently using the Red Gun.

The top of the panel indicates the source file and channel of the data being displayed, followed by a class list. The class list allows you to change the value, name, colour and description of the given class.

You can use the buttons below the table to create, delete, import, and save classes in the class list. Although changing colours and values will affect the display of the imagery, the underlying data of the image remains unchanged.

To view other channels with their associated class information simply load a new channel into the video channel currently being viewed. The class labelling panel will then display class information appropriate to the new channel. In the event that you have modified any class information you will be asked to save first before the new channel information is loaded.

Pressing the right mouse button in the main window will cause the list to highlight the class at the point of the cursor.
