CD Input Programs
While computer compatible tape (CCT) has long been a standard medium
for distribution and archiving of image data, CDs are becoming more
prevalent in this role. Since several "standard" file formats exist,
PCI provides a number of CD reading programs, available mainly in the
satellite orthorectification packages.
For some formats, you can use GeoGateway to directly access files on
the CD, instead of using one of the specific input programs.
The following list of CD I/O programs indicates the PACE package to
which each program belongs, and provides a brief description of what
the program does.
- CDEOSAT [Satellite Ortho & DEM]: reads LANDSAT TM or INDIAN IRS
imagery from an EOSAT fast format CD when satellite orthorectification
is required. CDEOSAT automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all
of the requested imagery channels from CD, and saves the satellite
path information in a segment.
- CDLANDB [Satellite Ortho & DEM]: reads LANDSAT TM from a Brazilian
CEOS format CD when satellite orthorectification is required. CDLANDB
automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all of the requested
imagery channels from CD, and saves the satellite path information in
a segment.
- CDLANDC [Satellite Ortho & DEM]: reads LANDSAT TM imagery from a
LGSOWG CCT format CD, when satellite orthorectification is required.
CDLANDC automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all of the requested
imagery channels from CD, and saves the satellite path information in a
segment.
- CDNLAPS [Satellite Ortho & DEM]: reads LANDSAT TM imagery from a
NLAPS (NDF) format CD when satellite orthorectification is required.
CDNLAPS automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all of the requested
imagery channels from CD, and saves the satellite path information in a
segment.
- CDSAR [Radar Analysis + Radar Ortho]: reads ERS/RADARSAT imagery
from a LGSOWG (or CEOS) CCT format CD, along with orbital and
calibration information which is stored in separate segments. CDSAR
automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all of the requested
imagery channels from tape.
- CDSH [Image Analysis Kernel]: reads a LGSOWG source header on
CD and generates a report.
- CDSPOT [Satellite Ortho & DEM]: reads SPOT imagery from a
SPOTIMAGE LGSOWG format CD, when satellite orthorectification is
required. CDSPOT automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all of
the requested imagery channels from CD, and saves the satellite path
information in one or two segments.
- CDSPOTC [Satellite Ortho & DEM]: reads SPOT imagery from a LGSOWG
format CD produced in CCT format, when satellite orthorectification is
required. CDSPOTC automatically creates a PCIDSK file, reads all of
the requested imagery channels from CD, and saves the satellite path
information in one segment.
