PCI Geomatics Announces the Release of ACE(r) 3.1 Software

Richmond Hill, Ontario- August 11, 1999: PCI Geomatics is pleased to
announce the release of ACE version 3.1, the Advanced Cartographic
Environment desktop mapping software.   A highlight of this release includes
the ability to enter text and annotation in Arabic, Farsi and Hebrew.
Additional native languages now supported include Thai, and the double-byte
languages of Chinese, Japanese and Korean.  This is PCI Geomatics' first
step towards supporting different languages with unique syntax requirements.
Also included in this release are numerous improvements such as, increased
speed, new display option for surround elements and improved printing and
font support for Windows platforms.

ACE 3.1 is a natural extension to all GIS, remote sensing and CAD systems
since it provides a way for users to present the results of their analysis
professionally.   ACE offers cartographers a complete solution for easily
applying conventional symbolization to their generated maps while
maintaining spatial accuracy.  ACE supports all major map projections and
utilizes PCI Geomatics' GeoGateway technology to directly read and write
raster, vector and other information from a list of over 50 supported file
formats.
