PCI Geomatics Releases Agroma(R) on Windows platforms

Richmond Hill, Ontario-June 30, 1999: PCI Geomatics is pleased to announce
the release of Agroma, a powerful wide-area agricultural monitoring package
designed specifically to assist in analyzing agricultural production. Key
features and operations include: suitability mapping which allows users to
establish location of prime agricultural land, RADARSAT rice mapping which
delineates areas growing rice crops, and NVDI generation from NOAA AVHRR
imagery. The software is available for immediate use on Windows 95/98/NT
platforms.

"Our on-going commitment to satisfy the needs of our customers has led to
the development of Agroma, a tool which simplifies the monitoring and
management of crop production," said Dr. Robert Moses, President and CEO of
PCI Geomatics.

Agroma combines both remote sensing and spatial analysis functionality with
user-guided agricultural processes, within a fully customizable and
expandable environment. Additional features include: land cover mapping
to help analyze land cover patterns for a variety of applications, a crop
calendar which provides key insight into crop growth schedules, crop
modeling to help estimate crop yields in different environments and
agri-climate mapping which uses climate data to identify climatic areas that
will influence the health and yield of crops.

Agroma also provides a comprehensive range of other remote sensing and
spatial analysis functionality. Certain remote sensing operations include:
radiometric correction, geo-referencing, AVHRR compositing, filtering,
scaling and data extraction. Certain spatial analysis functionality's
consist of full topological on-screen digitizing, table or attribute
editing, database queries and charting, and vector overlays.

PCI Geomatics would like to acknowledge the assistance of the following
organizations in the development of Agroma: Radarsat International (RSI),
the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Canada Centre for
Remote Sensing (CCRS).
