        PCI Appoints Director of Sales for United States/Canada

Richmond Hill, Ontario - April 20, 1998:  The PCI Geomatics Group is pleased
to announce the appointment of Arnold Hougham to the position of Director of
Sales for the United States and Canada.  In this newly created position, Mr.
Hougham will be directly responsible for the management of the Canadian and
US sales forces and for the continued expansion of PCI's Sky to Map(tm)
software suite into these markets.

Mr. Hougham joined PCI in 1990 and since that time has been responsible for
Canadian sales.  He began as a sales representative and quickly moved to
become the national sales director.  Mr. Hougham has held numerous positions
as an industry representative for federal and provincial government
Geomatics advisory committees including the Earth Observation Advisory
Committee, Long Term Space Plan III Advisory and Working Committee, and the
National Remote Sensing Working Group on Mapping.  In 1995, he was awarded
the Chairperson's Award from the Canadian Remote Sensing Society for
partnership building and leadership in the remote sensing industry.

Canada in increasing our presence within the US marketplace," comments
