                  PCI Awarded Geocomp-n Contact

December 3, 1997- Richmond Hill, Ontario: The PCI Geomatics Group is
pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to enhance the
Geocomp processing system from Natural Resources Canada based upon
specifications defined by the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS).  PCI
will provide the hardware and software solutions drawn from its
EASI/PACE(r) remote sensing software technology and other components within
the Sky to Map(tm) geomatics software suite.

"This contract provides PCI with the opportunity to become involved in the
production phase of precision geocoding for low resolution satellite data
and to develop a product which is designed to support future low resolution
satellites," comments David Stanley, vice president of Research and
Development for the Group.   PCI will deliver the initial product to CCRS
and then will proceed to resell it to the global marketplace.

Geocomp-n will be the second enhancement to the original Geocomp system. 
It will be developed in a modular fashion so that it can be updated to
support future sensors, processing algorithms and products as well as be
hosted on a range of hardware platforms. The Geocomp system is operated by
the Manitoba Centre for Remote Sensing which actively utilizes it in a
series of applications ranging from wide are crop monitoring to supplying
satellite data for Canadian climate and global change research program.
