                 PCI HIGHLIGHTED IN NIMA PATHFINDER98

December 3, 1997 - Richmond Hill, Ontario: The PCI Geomatics Group is
pleased to announce that its suite of Geomatics software products have been
selected for potential insertion by the Pathfinder98 initiative of the US
National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), a Combat Support Agency of the
US Department of Defense.

Pathfinder98 is part of a continuing effort by NIMA to link commercial and
government software developers of technologies for use by geospatialists
and imagery analysts.  As part of the most recent effort, over 100 tools
were evaluated from a series of databases collected by the Open GIS
Consortium (OGC) in early 1997.

Through a series of briefings, demonstrations and hands-on evaluations
which took place over the following six months, nine products were
eventually recommended for potential insertion and assessment within the
geospatial and imagery analyst community. PCI products were among those
selected from the category of Broadly Based tools/applications.  PCI's
remote sensing, digital photogrammetry, image processing, spatial analysis,
and digital cartography products were evaluated during the process.
